About The Position
Citrin Cooperman is hiring a Business Advisory Solutions Manager to join its Tax Department. The manager reviews tax closings, closing of books, and tax preparation; responds to client questions on compliance matters; and performs tax and accounting research to support accurate accounting and tax reporting. The role also involves developing budgets and pricing, assigning workloads, overseeing staff, managing day-to-day work across planning, preparation, review, and wrap-up, and supporting client relationships. The manager provides staff and senior accountants with direction, supervision, training, and performance feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA or CPA in progress.
- 7–8 years of experience gained within a public accounting firm.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities
- Review tax closings, closing of books, and tax preparation in detail.
- Respond to client questions and inquiries on compliance matters, including income tax, franchise tax, sales and use tax, labor, and benefits.
- Conduct intermediate tax and accounting research to support accurate accounting and tax reporting.
- Develop budgets and pricing, select staff, assign workloads, and prepare reports.
- Provide direction and purpose for staff, and earn the trust of coworkers and client management.
- Oversee, supervise, and manage staff, coordinating day-to-day planning, preparation, review, and wrap-up.
- Contribute to strong client relationships through positive interactions with client personnel.
- Provide training, direction, and supervision to staff and senior accountants.
- Assess staff performance and provide appropriate feedback.
