About The Position

Citrin Cooperman is seeking a Business Advisory Solutions Director to join its Tax Department. The Director reviews tax closings, closing of books, and tax preparation; handles client inquiries on compliance matters; and conducts tax and accounting research to support accurate accounting and tax reporting. The role develops budgets and pricing, assigns workloads, oversees and supervises staff, and manages the planning, preparation, review, and wrap-up of engagements. The Director also supports client relationships, trains and evaluates staff, and contributes to the firm’s growth through business development.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
CPA required.
At least 10 years of experience in a public accounting firm, including 4 or more years of managerial experience.
Tax knowledge.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to supervise staff at all levels.
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

Review tax closings, closing of books, and tax preparation.
Respond to client questions and inquiries about compliance matters, including income tax, franchise tax, sales/use tax, labor, and benefits.
Conduct intermediate tax and accounting research to support accurate accounting and tax reporting.
Develop budgets and pricing, select staff, assign workloads, and prepare reports.
Provide staff with direction and purpose and build trust with coworkers and client management.
Oversee, supervise, and manage staff, coordinating the day-to-day planning, preparation, review, and wrap-up of work.
Contribute to strong client relationships through positive interactions with client personnel.
Train, direct, and supervise staff and senior accountants.
Assess staff performance and provide appropriate feedback.
Contribute to the firm's growth through business development.
