About The Position

The Bus Person at Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill provides prompt, courteous service to restaurant patrons and helps ensure guest satisfaction by assisting Food Servers and Captains. The role supports restaurant service by maintaining clean, properly set tables and side stations, assisting with food and beverage service, and resetting tables to accommodate reservations. Work takes place in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with frequent interactions with guests, the public, and coworkers. Shifts may vary based on business needs.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
At least one year of food and beverage bussing experience.
Effective verbal and written communication in English in a professional manner.
Neat and professional appearance.
Ability to interact with customers, the public, and coworkers.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Attention to detail.
Strong understanding of a gourmet dining atmosphere.
Nevada Food Handler Certification.
Union referral.
Ability to carry beverage trays and carry plates without tray service.

Responsibilities

Ensure tables are completely set before and after shifts.
Keep all areas clean and free of debris.
Polish glassware as needed.
Assist Food Servers with service of complimentary bottled water.
Maintain tables during service by clearing dishes between courses and removing empty glassware as needed.
Clear and scrape dishes in side stations after clearing a table.
Stock side stations with linen and proper glassware.
Serve and explain bread to guests after the Captain has served cocktails.
Maintain a professional demeanor and assist servers and Captains as needed.
Change tablecloths and reset tables promptly after guests leave.
Serve coffee and hot tea.
Move tables throughout the dining room to accommodate reservation needs.
Carry multiple dishes, up to six at one time, in one hand without tray service.
