We have an opening for a full-time Bus Driver. Pay $15/hr and up, based on experience Lakeview Bus Drivers are responsible for provides safe and timely on-campus and off-campus transportation assistance to Lakeview residents. Assists other staff members for resident/community events as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Must have at least a Class B or Class C Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsements, or be willing to obtain one; must maintain all legal requirements for keeping a valid CDL.
Must have current CPR certification.
Demonstrates good communications skills, including but not limited to effective reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills, with a fluent understanding of English.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks appropriately, and exercise sound judgement where procedures cannot be standardized.
Must demonstrate excellent safety judgement and problem-solving skills.
Ability to administer and follow straightforward written or verbal instructions.
Ability to interpret bus schedules.
Ability to learn the mechanics of a bus.
Possesses an empathetic approach to the elderly.
Able to work in a team setting with residents, relatives, staff, and others.
Must have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
Must be able to balance, or maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, wet or slippery surfaces.
Must be able to lift objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally form position to-position.
Must be able to talk or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Must be able to hear the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, making discriminations in sound.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
