About The Position

CHENEGA BASE & LOGISTICS SERVICES, LLC is seeking a Bus Driver in Ft Rucker, AL. The Bus Driver transports passengers over specified routes to local or distant points according to a time schedule. The role also includes vehicle inspections and basic servicing, minor repairs, cleaning, and other transportation and installation support duties.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), minimum Class B, with Passenger Endorsement; must be maintained.
Present a neat appearance and pleasant attitude when dealing with customers and other employees.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Able to meet the physical demands of the role, with reasonable accommodations where applicable.

Nice To Haves

Minimum four years of driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Comply with local traffic regulations and report delays or accidents.
Inspect the bus and check gas, oil, and water before departure.
Service vehicle batteries as required.
Perform minor repairs, such as tightening mirrors and screws and changing vehicle light bulbs.
Operate the car/bus wash as required.
Operate a generator and jump-start buses as required.
Load and unload baggage or express items checked by passengers, as needed.
Drive diesel- or gas-powered vehicles to transport passengers over established post and city routes, as needed.
Operate a water truck, including climbing on the tank and lifting a hose approximately three feet above one's head.
Operate the drivers training bus and train other personnel in bus operations.
Comply with installation and State rules and regulations, and ensure seatbelts are worn when operating any vehicle.
Attend scheduled safety meetings and/or training classes.
Clean up oil spills and keep the vehicle parking area free of debris and oil.
Perform other duties as assigned.
