About The Position

The Bus Driver works in the Fixed Route Division, providing convenient, safe, and reliable public bus transportation within cities and on express routes in Connecticut. The position is based at the CTtransit Waterbury Bus Maintenance Facility. Drivers play a critical role in ensuring passengers reach their destinations safely. This is a full-time position scheduled for a minimum of 40 hours per week. The wage is $28.75 per hour, with a training wage of 75% of that rate for the first six months and 85% for the next six months. Employees are paid weekly on Fridays. Requirements

Hold a Connecticut Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and public passenger endorsements.
Have no air-brake restriction on the CDL.
Out-of-state license holders must first transfer their license to a Connecticut CDL and then apply for a public passenger endorsement.
A CDL Class A or B with PF, PS, PA, or PV endorsements and no air-brake restriction is also listed as an accepted qualification.
