About The Position

Children’s Treehouse is a state-licensed center focused on developing a caring community of educators and learners. The Bus Driver safely transports children to and from school and school-related activities, maintaining a secure, structured environment and following all safety regulations and procedures. The role also includes routine vehicle checks, communication with school staff, and supporting the school during non-driving times as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Meet all state and local requirements for transporting children.
Pass background checks, motor vehicle record checks, and drug screening, as required.
Be at least 21 years of age, or meet the applicable state-regulation age requirement.
Put safety first and remain calm, reliable, and composed.
Communicate clearly and professionally.
Handle unexpected situations with confidence and sound judgment.
Be consistent, dependable, and take ownership of responsibilities.

Nice To Haves

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), if applicable.
Prior experience driving children or in a similar role.

Responsibilities

Transport children safely to and from school and activities according to established routes and schedules.
Maintain a safe, supervised environment during rides, including smooth pick-up and drop-off routines.
Conduct routine vehicle checks and keep the bus clean, safe, and road-ready.
Communicate with school staff about schedules, delays, or concerns.
Support the school during non-driving times as needed.
