About The Position

Kansas City Christian School is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Bus Driver to primarily serve its North Bus Route. The driver will safely transport students to and from school each day while providing timely and reliable service. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to support school events and athletic activities.

The morning pick-up is at Open Door Baptist Church, 3033 N 103rd Terrace, Kansas City, KS, at 7:15 AM. The afternoon route departs from KCC at 3:10 PM, with drop-off completed at approximately 3:40–3:45 PM. Compensation is $100 per day for driving both the morning and afternoon routes. A tuition discount may be considered in place of daily pay.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-minded.
• Agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Human Dignity Policies.

Nice To Haves

• Currently holding a CDL is preferred; applicants willing to obtain a CDL are encouraged to apply, and reimbursement is available.
• Experience driving a bus or large vehicle is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students along the assigned route.
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and student-friendly environment.
• Follow all traffic laws and school transportation policies.
• Conduct basic pre- and post-route vehicle checks.
• Promptly communicate delays or concerns to school administration.
