About The Position

Children of America (COA) is an early childhood education organization serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years through programs including Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before & After Care, and Summer Camp. The Bus Driver safely transports children between educational programs and helps provide a nurturing, reliable transportation experience that supports their development and learning. The role works with children, parents, School Directors and management, and teaching staff.

Requirements

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Knowledge of state and local transportation regulations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Flexibility with hours and work schedule.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and submission of required state documents.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a licensed childcare facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely transport children in a bus or van between educational programs.
Perform daily vehicle safety checks and ensure the vehicle is functional.
Implement company safety procedures with guidance from the School Director.
Treat children with care, compassion, and patience and provide a nurturing, safe transportation experience.
Represent COA positively when interacting with children, families, and staff.
Work collaboratively with staff and management to support safe, smooth, and reliable transportation.
Follow safety protocols and uphold COA's mission and values.
