About The Position
Signal Energy is seeking a Bus Driver to support our solar construction projects. This is a field-based, hands-on role responsible for safely transporting employees to and from parking areas to the onsite work location and assisting with general labor and site support activities when not driving. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and willing to contribute wherever needed to keep operations running efficiently.
Requirements
- GED or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class A or B with Passenger Endorsement (required)
- Acceptable driving record per company and DOT standards
- Ability to operate a bus in active construction environments
- Ability to lift, carry, and move 50+ pounds
- Able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks
- Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety rules
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions, as safety permits
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving or construction site experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company buses to transport employees to and from parking areas to the onsite work location
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation
- Maintain clean, safe, and orderly buses
- Follow DOT, company, and site-specific safety requirements
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding schedules, delays, or maintenance needs
- Assists with survey and layout support
- Assists with material staging and distribution
- Assists with pile and foundation support activities
- Assists with tracker system installation support
- Assists with mechanical assembly and installation
- Assists with electrical and control component support
- Assists with hardware fastening and torquing
- Assists with quality control and inspection
- Assists with module staging and installation
- Assists with equipment setup, alignment, and adjustment
- Assists with troubleshooting and rework
- Provides general construction and production support
- Performs material handling, loading, unloading, and staging
- Maintains jobsite housekeeping and debris removal
- Assists crews with tools, parts, and logistics
- Sets up barricades, signage, and pedestrian paths
