About The Position

OTO Development is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician I to perform preventative maintenance and general upkeep at a managed hotel property. The position involves responding promptly to maintenance emergencies, maintaining equipment, painting, and cleaning guest laundry facilities and common areas. The technician must follow safety and security guidelines, wear the provided uniform and required protective equipment, and clean up guest rooms after completing work. The role is physically demanding and requires little to no travel outside the property and surrounding area.

Requirements

General knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work well with others in a guest- and team-focused environment.
Strong time management capabilities and ability to complete quality, detailed work within established parameters.
Customer service skills, including anticipating guest needs, greeting and acknowledging guests, and responding to guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
Action orientation and ability to deliver the desired outcome.
Comfort standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Wear the provided brand-standard uniform and identification, required footwear, and protective equipment.
Follow safety and security guidelines for equipment, guest safety, and safe chemical handling.
Perform a wide variety of preventative maintenance duties.
Inspect and clean up rooms after working in them.
Pick up trash throughout the property.
Ensure maintenance equipment is functioning properly and maintained.
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.
Paint walls, ceilings, doors, and window trim as needed.
Clean guest laundry washers, dryers, vending machines, and common areas twice daily.
