About The Position

OTO Development is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician I for a hotel property. The role performs preventive maintenance and general upkeep, responds to maintenance emergencies, and helps maintain guest rooms, equipment, and shared areas. The position requires little to no travel outside the property and surrounding area. It is physically demanding and involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods. The property is managed by OTO Development, an upscale hotel development and management company operating properties across the United States.

Requirements

General knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work well with others in a guest- and team-focused environment.
Strong time management skills and ability to complete quality, detailed work within established parameters.
Customer service skills, including anticipating guest needs, greeting and acknowledging guests, and responding to guest requests.
Action orientation and ability to deliver the desired outcome.
Comfort standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Wear the provided brand-standard uniform, identification, required footwear, and protective equipment.
Follow safety and security guidelines for equipment, guest safety, and chemical handling.
Perform a wide variety of preventive maintenance duties.
Inspect and clean rooms after completing work in them.
Pick up trash throughout the property.
Ensure maintenance equipment is functioning properly and maintained.
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.
Paint walls, ceilings, doors, and window trim as needed.
Clean guest laundry washers and dryers, vending machines, and common areas twice daily.
