About The Position

OTO Development is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician I for a hotel property. The role performs preventative maintenance and supports the safety, cleanliness, and functioning of property equipment and guest areas. The position requires little to no travel outside the property and surrounding area. The property is managed by OTO Development, an industry-leading hotel development and management company that owns and operates upscale select service, extended stay, and lifestyle hotels across the United States.

Requirements

General knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work well with others in a guest- and team-focused environment.
Strong time management skills and ability to complete quality, detailed work within established parameters.
Customer service skills, including anticipating guest needs, greeting and acknowledging guests, and responding to guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
Action-oriented approach and ability to deliver desired outcomes.
Comfort with standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Wear the provided brand-standard uniform, identification, required footwear, and protective equipment to prevent injury.
Follow safety and security guidelines concerning equipment safety, guest safety, and safe chemical handling.
Perform a wide variety of preventative maintenance duties.
Inspect and clean rooms after completing work in them.
Pick up trash throughout the property.
Ensure maintenance equipment is functioning properly and maintained.
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.
Paint walls, ceilings, doors, and window trim as needed.
Clean guest laundry washers, dryers, vending machines, and common areas twice daily.
