About The Position

OTO Development is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician I for a hotel property. The role performs preventative maintenance, responds to maintenance emergencies, keeps equipment and property areas clean and in good working order, and helps ensure a safe and satisfying experience for guests. The position involves physically demanding work, including extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting. Travel outside the property and surrounding area is little to none.

Requirements

General knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work well with others in a guest- and team-focused environment.
Strong time-management capabilities and ability to complete quality, detailed work within established parameters.
Customer-service skills, including anticipating guest needs, greeting and acknowledging guests, and responding to guest requests to ensure satisfaction.
Action orientation and ability to deliver the desired outcome.
Comfort with standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Wear the provided brand-standard uniform, identification, required footwear, and protective equipment to prevent injury.
Follow safety and security guidelines for equipment safety, guest safety, and safe chemical handling.
Perform a wide variety of preventative maintenance duties.
Inspect and clean rooms after working in them.
Pick up trash throughout the property.
Ensure maintenance equipment is functioning properly and maintained.
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.
Paint walls, ceilings, doors, and window trim as needed.
Clean guest laundry washers, dryers, vending machines, and common areas twice daily.
