About The Position

OTO Development is hiring a Building Maintenance Technician I for a hotel property. The position performs preventative maintenance, responds to maintenance emergencies, maintains equipment, and helps keep guest rooms, laundry facilities, vending machines, and common areas clean and functional. The role requires following safety and security procedures and providing attentive service to guests. It is physically demanding and requires extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting. Travel outside the property and surrounding area is little to none.

Requirements

General knowledge of hand tools and maintenance procedures.
Ability to work well with others in a guest- and team-focused environment.
Strong time management skills and ability to complete quality, detailed work within established parameters.
Customer service skills, including the ability to anticipate guest needs, greet and acknowledge guests, and respond to guest requests.
Action orientation and ability to deliver the desired outcome.
Comfort with extended periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting.

Responsibilities

Wear the provided brand-standard uniform, identification, required footwear, and protective equipment to help prevent injury.
Follow safety and security guidelines for equipment, guest safety, and safe chemical handling.
Perform a wide variety of preventative maintenance duties.
Inspect and clean rooms after working in them.
Pick up trash throughout the property.
Ensure maintenance equipment is functioning properly and maintained.
Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies.
Paint walls, ceilings, doors, and window trim as needed.
Clean guest laundry washers, dryers, vending machines, and common areas twice daily.
Anticipate guest needs, greet and acknowledge guests, and respond to guest requests to support guest satisfaction.
