About The Position

Seasonal building maintenance role responsible for removing snow from decks and walkways at Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities, handling trash and cardboard, and performing other maintenance duties as needed. The position involves working outdoors in all weather conditions and interacting with guests and owners in a pleasant, service-oriented manner. This posting is for returning staff only for the 2026–27 winter season. Employment status may be full-time or part-time.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18.
• Background check required.
• Driver verification required.
• English reading, writing, communication, and basic math skills.
• Able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours a day.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver's license preferred.
• Some mechanical know-how preferred, including ability to perform minor snowblower repairs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a snowblower and use a shovel to remove snow and ice from decks and walkways.
• Operate the trash compactor and cardboard baler.
• Remove trash and cardboard and deposit them in the appropriate compactor and baler.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe appearance and provide pleasant, service-oriented assistance to guests and owners.
• Perform other maintenance duties as needed or as directed by the Facility and Grounds Manager.
• Develop or maintain extensive knowledge of Schweitzer Mountain Resort facilities and activities.
• Initiate daily guest contact to support guest comfort, answer questions, and provide general assistance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
