About The Position

The Gourmandie is a specialty food and wine market located in Schweitzer’s Village. The Clerk handles both guest-facing service and back-of-house food preparation. This seasonal position is for returning staff only. Employment may be full time or part time, with a wage of $14.00 plus tips. Applicants must be at least 19 years old. No background check or driver verification is required.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 19.
• English reading, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to walk and stand for a full shift, potentially up to 10 hours.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfort working around sharp kitchen equipment.
• Work schedule includes weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• SafeServe certification.
• Idaho Beverage Seller training.
• Familiarity with a point-of-sale computer system.
• Cash handling skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of experience in a related position, preferably food retail.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide exceptional guest service.
• Take food and drink orders and recommend menu products and beverage selections.
• Create and prepare food and deli items.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise market items.
• Tidy tables and keep outlet areas clean and organized.
• Prepare and clean kitchen and service utensils at opening and closing in compliance with health regulations.
