Budtender Part Time (EveryDay Weed)
About The Position
The Budtender provides exceptional customer service, in-depth product knowledge, and a positive, educational shopping experience for customers. The role involves learning about customers’ preferences, making tailored product recommendations, educating customers about cannabis products and safe consumption, and helping maintain a welcoming and compliant retail environment. The Budtender also supports store operations through cash handling, point-of-sale transactions, teamwork, and assistance with other duties assigned by the Management Team. This is a part-time retail position at the Every Day Weed location in Central Boulder, Colorado. The schedule varies based on business needs. Stores operate seven days a week, with hours that vary by location and include nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is $19.84 per hour plus variable tips.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds or more multiple times per day.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in retail or customer service preferred.
- Knowledge of cannabis and its products is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers professionally and listen to their preferences and requirements.
- Provide product insights and personalized recommendations based on customer preferences and intended use.
- Educate customers on product benefits, potential effects, and safe consumption methods.
- Keep the store neat and visually appealing, with organized product displays.
- Stay informed about industry trends, product releases, and regulatory changes.
- Process sales using the point-of-sale system and manage cash transactions accurately.
- Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive, customer-focused work environment.
- Support the Management Team with store activities, customer assistance, checkouts, and cash handling.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Management Team.
