About The Position
As a Budtender, you provide exceptional customer service, in-depth product knowledge, and a positive, educational shopping experience. You help customers make informed choices by explaining cannabis products, potential effects, and safe consumption methods. You also help maintain an inviting store, process sales accurately, comply with company policies and applicable regulations, and collaborate with the team to support store operations. The role is full-time at the Green Dragon location in Telluride, with a schedule that varies according to business needs. Stores operate seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Compensation is $13.00 per hour plus variable tips, with advertised overall earnings of up to $19.98 per hour. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work a schedule that varies with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers professionally and listen to their preferences and requirements.
- Provide product insights and personalized recommendations based on customers’ preferences and usage scenarios.
- Educate customers about product advantages, potential effects, and safe consumption methods.
- Keep the store neat and appealing and maintain organized product displays.
- Stay informed about industry trends, product releases, and changing regulations.
- Handle cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system to process sales.
- Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, customer-focused work environment.
- Support the Management Team with store activities, customer assistance, checkout, and cash handling.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Management Team.
