About The Position

The Budtender works in retail at an Every Day Weed location in Aspen, Colorado, providing exceptional customer service, detailed product knowledge, and a welcoming, educational shopping experience. The role supports responsible and informed cannabis consumption by understanding customer preferences, recommending products, and explaining potential effects and safe consumption methods.

The position also helps maintain an appealing and organized store, processes sales and cash transactions, follows company procedures and applicable regulations, and collaborates with the team and Management Team on store operations. Full-time compensation is $19.84 per hour plus tips. Schedules vary according to business needs; stores operate seven days a week, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in cash handling and accurate basic math calculations.
• Reliable, punctual, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more multiple times per day.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in Colorado.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers professionally and listen to their preferences and needs.
• Provide product insights and personalized recommendations based on customer preferences and usage scenarios.
• Educate customers about product benefits, potential effects, and safe consumption methods.
• Keep the store neat and visually appealing, with organized product displays.
• Stay informed about industry trends, product releases, and changing regulations.
• Handle cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system to process sales.
• Follow company policies and procedures and comply with state and local regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, customer-focused workplace.
• Support the Management Team with store activities, customer assistance, checkouts, and cash handling.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Management Team.
