About The Position

As a Retail Personal Service Provider (Budtender), you will represent the dispensary and provide an exceptional customer experience while helping patients and customers select cannabis products for their needs. You will answer questions, recommend products, and help ensure compliance with state regulations while maintaining a welcoming, informative, and professional environment. The job description is not all-inclusive. The company may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as business needs require. Management may also modify, add, or remove duties as necessary.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old, as required by state law.
Previous customer service experience, preferably in retail or a cannabis-related field.
Strong knowledge of cannabis products, including strains, consumption methods, and effects, or a strong willingness to learn.
Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with a variety of customers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must pass a background check, as required by state law.
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and register transactions.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
Ability to bend, squat, and reach to access products on low and high shelves.
Manual dexterity to handle products and cash and operate the POS system precisely.
Ability to move throughout the dispensary to assist customers and maintain the store's appearance.
Ability to see product details, labels, and transaction information clearly and hear customer questions and concerns in a busy retail environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus throughout shifts.

Responsibilities

Complete compliant customer and patient transactions.
Assist disgruntled customers or patients, or escalate them to the Manager on Duty.
Take out trash and help keep the sales floor clean.
Confirm the cash register begins and ends at $200.
Confirm accurate cash drops.
Conduct parking lot sweeps.
Build online orders during downtime.
Research current products.
Clean glass fixtures.
Assist with Greeter position duties when needed.
Access patient records confidentially.
