About The Position

The Budtender provides customers with an extraordinary, personalized experience through meaningful interaction and knowledgeable answers about the potential benefits of cannabis products. The role fosters a compassionate, genuine, respectful, inclusive, and forward-thinking dispensary environment while assisting the Management Team with store activities and operations in accordance with company policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Budtenders support customer orders and sales, maintain a clean, stocked, safe, and guest-ready store, and help ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards. This position requires regular and punctual attendance and availability for a retail schedule that includes nights and weekends.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to pass all background checks required by the state cannabis agency.
• Available to work a retail schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Prior customer service experience in hospitality, pharmacy, customer service, or a retail environment.
• Stay current with and adhere to all policies and regulations of the state cannabis agency.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years working in retail or another customer service position.

Nice To Haves

• Cannabis experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with product knowledge, expertise, guidance, and a personalized experience by explaining potential benefits of cannabis products.
• Resolve customer questions or concerns quickly and completely, and promptly communicate requests or unresolved concerns to management.
• Accurately receive, coordinate, and fulfill customer orders using point-of-sale and inventory tracking systems in compliance with company, local, and state policies.
• Adapt to varied sales volume, pursue continued learning, create an engaging environment, and help keep the dispensary stocked, clean, tidy, and operational.
• Meet or exceed day-to-day sales metrics by following the customer experience selling cycle and making tailored product suggestions; work toward individual and team sales targets.
• Assist management staff in ensuring procedures comply with regulatory and compliance standards.
• Foster a positive work environment, treat everyone with dignity and respect, and maintain curiosity about cannabis.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager and/or Store Lead.
• Maintain all store areas, including restrooms, in a clean, safe, and guest-ready condition.
