About The Position

The Budtender welcomes patients, helps them select products, follows company and state policies and procedures, and works to ensure a positive patient experience. The role includes advising patients on cannabis products that fit their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains; educating them on safe use; processing payments; and assisting with product handling, store upkeep, inventory, and opening and closing tasks. The Budtender also stays current on cannabis products and industry trends and performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check and receive a state facility agent card.
Knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
Strong organizational skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well with other team members.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience working as a Budtender is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Welcome patients and provide a positive patient experience.
Advise patients on cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains.
Stay informed about new cannabis products and industry trends.
Process patient payments using the dispensary’s POS system.
Keep the store clean and well-organized.
Educate patients on the safe use of selected cannabis products.
Weigh, package, and label cannabis products as required.
Verify patient identification, legal age, and required credentials for entry and purchase.
Take inventory and ensure the sales floor is adequately stocked.
Complete assigned opening and closing tasks.
Follow company and state policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
