About The Position

A Bru Bar Barista promotes coffee consumption by educating customers and preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, pastries, and other baked goods. The Bru Bar also serves beer, wine, and liquor. The position is anticipated to start in late April or early May.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clear and concise verbal communication skills.

• Regularly stand, walk, and talk or hear; frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms; occasionally taste or smell.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Ability to meet the job's vision requirements, including close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and determine their food and drink interests and needs.
• Present and explain the drink menu, educate customers, and answer questions.
• Prepare and sell coffee drinks, including espresso, caffe latte, and cappuccino, according to prescribed recipes and preparation techniques.
• Attract new customers and offer additional products to generate revenue.
• Maintain inventories of coffee beans, brewing equipment, pastries, other food items, and supplies.
• Keep equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and reporting needed repairs.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Improve quality by studying, evaluating, and redesigning processes, implementing changes, and maintaining and improving the appearance of the coffee bar.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
