About The Position

The Brow Waxing Expert, also referred to as the Arch Expert (AE), maximizes sales for the Benefit brand by engaging guests, identifying their needs, recommending and selling merchandise, and performing short beauty services. Services include eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, eyebrow tinting, strip lash applications, and threading. The role represents the Benefit brand to Ulta Beauty guests and supports the Experience Manager through sales and service performance, guest service, and compliance with operating procedures and standards. The position requires an active esthetics or cosmetology license where required by law, exceptional guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The expert participates in brand and company training, builds guest relationships and clientele, supports in-store events and promotions, and collaborates with store associates and brand partners. The role also involves maintaining the Brow Bar and assigned areas, following safety and sanitation requirements, supporting store operations, and protecting company assets. The work requires a flexible schedule that may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. It involves continuous mobility and coordination, frequent standing and other physical movements, and lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds. The pay range is $20.00–$30.00 per hour; eligible associates may also earn legally required overtime and tips from service guests. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.

Requirements

Cosmetology or esthetics license where required by state law.
Exceptional guest service and aptitude to learn and communicate product knowledge.
Demonstrated competency in sales, products, and services.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle guest concerns positively and proactively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills.
Proficiency with equipment needed to perform technical work.

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed Benefit brand sales and service goals and contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omnichannel, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, personalize services, and recommend complementary products, samples, and services.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
Perform Brow Bar services, including eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, eyebrow tinting, strip lash applications, and threading, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Book initial and return appointments and events using the appointment book or system.
Meet average sales per labor hour and sales-to-service ratio goals.
Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services and communicate relevant product ingredients and benefits to guests.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
Support an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
Participate in ongoing Benefit and Ulta Beauty training, team meetings, and brand and category education.
Build and maintain guest relationships and an active clientele portfolio for Benefit services.
Maintain relationships with Benefit brand partners and participate in required trainings, in-store events, and promotions.
Partner with Prestige consultants and salon professionals to support teamwork and customer service.
Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business.
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards, including state board requirements.
Follow safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures before, during, and after services.
Follow the Ulta Beauty and Benefit brand dress code and wear brand assets as directed.
Keep the Brow Bar and assigned areas replenished, signed, and faced; maintain testers in accordance with hygiene standards.
Communicate supply needs to store management and brand representatives in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and operational standards in the Brow Bar and any additional assigned areas.
Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing using brand and company technology and practices.
Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
