About The Position

The Brow Waxing Expert, also called the Arch Expert, maximizes Benefit brand sales by engaging guests, identifying their needs, recommending and selling merchandise, and performing short beauty services. Services may include eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, eyebrow tinting, strip lash applications, and threading. The role also involves makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations. The position represents the Benefit brand to Ulta Beauty guests and supports the Experience Manager by focusing on sales and service performance, guest service, and adherence to operating procedures and compliance standards. The expert builds guest relationships and a clientele, supports in-store events and promotions, participates in brand and company training, and helps maintain the Brow Bar and other assigned areas. An active esthetics or cosmetology license is required where mandated by law. The pay range is $18.00–$28.00 per hour. Eligible associates may earn overtime as required by law and tips from service guests. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off and health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.

Requirements

Cosmetology or esthetics license where required by state law.
Proficiency with equipment needed to perform technical work.
Competency in sales, products, and services.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle guest concerns positively and proactively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to attend brand-sponsored trainings.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed Benefit brand sales and service goals and contribute to store goals for sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel performance, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, personalize services, and recommend complementary products, samples, and services.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
Perform Brow Bar services, including eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, eyebrow tinting, strip lash applications, and threading, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Book initial and return services and event appointments using the appointment book or system.
Meet average sales per labor hour and sales-to-service ratio goals.
Stay informed about industry trends, products, services, ingredients, and benefits during work time.
Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Support an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
Participate in Benefit and Ulta Beauty training, team meetings, and brand and category education.
Build and maintain customer relationships and an active clientele portfolio for Benefit services.
Maintain relationships with Benefit brand partners by attending required trainings and executing in-store events and promotions.
Partner with Prestige consultants, salon professionals, managers, and associates to promote teamwork and business growth.
Promote the guest loyalty program, credit, and the Ulta Beauty app.
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, safety and sanitation practices, hygiene procedures, and applicable state board guidelines.
Follow the Ulta Beauty and Benefit brand dress code, including wearing brand assets as directed.
Keep the Brow Bar and assigned areas replenished, signed, faced, clean, and guest-ready; maintain testers according to hygiene standards.
Communicate supply needs to store management and brand representatives in a timely manner.
Help complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing using brand and company technology and best practices.
Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
