About The Position

The Brow Waxing Expert, also referred to as the Arch Expert (AE), maximizes Benefit brand sales by identifying guests’ needs, assisting with merchandise selection and purchase, and performing short beauty services such as eyebrow and facial waxing and tinting. The role represents the Benefit brand to Ulta Beauty guests and supports the Experience Manager through a focus on sales and in-store events, guest service, and compliance with operating procedures and standards. An active esthetics or cosmetology license is required where applicable by law. The position also calls for exceptional guest service and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The role contributes to Benefit brand and store sales goals, delivers personalized guest service, builds an active clientele, and maintains relationships with brand partners and store colleagues. It also supports Brow Bar readiness and store operations, follows safety and hygiene procedures, and participates in training and promotional events. The schedule is flexible and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Working conditions include continuous mobility and object coordination, frequent standing and other physical movements, and lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds continuously and up to 25 pounds as needed.

Requirements

Cosmetology or esthetics license where required by state law.
Proficiency with equipment needed to perform technical work.
Competency in sales, products, and services.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle guest concerns positively and proactively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to attend brand-sponsored trainings.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma.
Experience in makeup application, eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, and eyebrow tinting.

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed Benefit brand sales and service goals and contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, tailor service to their needs, and recommend complementary products, samples, and services.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
Perform Brow Bar services, including eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, eyebrow tinting, strip lash applications, and threading, following company policies and procedures.
Book initial and return services and events using the appointment book or system.
Meet average sales per labor hour and sales-to-service ratio goals.
Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services, including their ingredients and benefits.
Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Contribute to an inclusive environment and participate in ongoing Benefit and Ulta Beauty training, team meetings, and brand and category education.
Build and maintain guest relationships and an active clientele portfolio for Benefit brand services.
Maintain relationships with Benefit brand partners and participate in required trainings, in-store events, and promotions.
Partner with Prestige consultants, salon professionals, managers, and associates to support teamwork and business growth.
Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and state board guidelines, including safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements.
Follow the Ulta Beauty and Benefit brand dress code.
Keep the Brow Bar and assigned areas replenished, signed, faced, clean, and guest-ready; maintain testers according to hygiene standards.
Communicate supply needs to store management and brand representatives.
Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory procedures, and shipment processing using brand and company technology and best practices.
Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
