About The Position

The Brow Waxing Expert, also referred to as the Arch Expert (AE), represents the Benefit brand and Ulta Beauty while maximizing sales and providing guests with personalized service. The role includes identifying guest needs, assisting with merchandise selection and purchases, and performing short services such as eyebrow and facial waxing and tinting. The expert supports the Experience Manager by focusing on sales and in-store events, guest service, and operating procedures and compliance. An active cosmetology or esthetics license is required where mandated by law. The role also calls for strong guest service and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The position combines sales and service performance with client relationship-building, ongoing training, and store operations. Services and retail activities are performed in accordance with Ulta Beauty policies, Benefit brand standards, safety and sanitation practices, and applicable state board guidelines. The schedule is flexible and may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Cosmetology or esthetics license where required by state law.
Proficiency with equipment needed to perform technical work.
Demonstrated competency in sales, products, and service.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to handle guest concerns positively and proactively and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Meet or exceed Benefit brand sales and service goals and contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel performance, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, personalize service to their needs, and recommend complementary products, samples, and services.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
Perform Brow Bar services, including eyebrow and facial waxing, tweezing, eyebrow tinting, strip lash applications, and threading, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Book initial services, return services, and events using the appointment book or system.
Meet average sales-per-labor-hour and sales-to-service-ratio goals.
Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services and learn about their ingredients and benefits.
Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Support an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
Participate in Benefit and Ulta Beauty training, team meetings, and brand and category education.
Build and maintain customer relationships and an active clientele portfolio for Benefit services.
Maintain relationships with Benefit brand partners through trainings, in-store events, and promotions.
Partner with Prestige consultants and salon professionals to support teamwork and customer service.
Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
Collaborate with store managers and associates to help grow the business.
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, and standards, including safety, sanitation, hygiene, and state board guidelines.
Follow the Ulta Beauty and Benefit brand dress code.
Keep the Brow Bar and any additional assigned area replenished, signed, faced, and guest-ready; maintain testers in accordance with hygiene standards.
Communicate supply needs to store management and brand representatives in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and operational standards in the Brow Bar and any additional assigned areas, including the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
Participate in merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing using Benefit and Ulta Beauty technology and best practices.
Protect company assets by following loss-prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
