About The Position

Brewistas help carry out Brewista’s mission to “Inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience.” Reporting to the stand manager, a Brewista serves customers and works with teammates and vendors in a kind, uplifting manner. The role involves taking and entering orders, collecting payments, preparing drinks and premixes, connecting with customers, and cleaning and stocking during each shift. The work takes place at a coffee shop and includes working outside in varying weather and safely moving around cars in the drive-through line.

Requirements

Able to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Able to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Able to work outdoors for prolonged periods regardless of weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed for stocking and cleaning.
Able to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-through line.
Able to use a utility knife safely.
Works a flexible schedule and a minimum of three shifts per week.
Follows company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
Regularly works weekends and is available to work holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter them correctly into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payments and correctly count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and stay productive and proactive throughout the shift, including during slow periods.
Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
Learn the menu and drink offerings, identify customers’ needs, and offer appropriate suggestions and recommendations.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and arrive clocked in and ready at the assigned position when the shift begins.
Follow shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores, and complete them as needed.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
