About The Position

Brewistas help carry out Brewista’s mission to “Inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience.” They report to the stand manager and make drinks, take orders, interact with customers and teammates, prepare premixed flavors and teas, clean, and stock during each shift. The role involves creating positive customer experiences while working quickly, staying productive, and following company standards and sanitation regulations. The work takes place at a coffee shop and includes working outside in varying weather conditions.

Requirements

Able to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
Able to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
Able to work outside for prolonged periods in all weather conditions.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
Able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed for stocking and cleaning.
Able to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-thru line.
Able to use a utility knife safely.
Available to work a flexible schedule and a minimum of three shifts per week.
Regular weekend availability and availability to work holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter them correctly into the point-of-sale system.
Collect payments and accurately count back change.
Prepare drinks and premixes.
Work with urgency and remain productive and proactive throughout the shift, including during slower periods.
Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions, warm smiles, and positive body language.
Know the menu and drink offerings and help customers identify and order drinks that suit their preferences, including offering suggestions when appropriate.
Dress appropriately for the assigned position and bring a professional, positive attitude to work.
Learn and carry out shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
Be clocked in and ready at the assigned position when the shift begins.
Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organizational standards and sanitation regulations.
Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
Work at least three shifts per week and regularly work weekends; be available to work holidays if necessary.
