About The Position

A Brewista helps carry out Brewista’s mission to inspire a community of kindness through a revolutionary coffee experience. Brewistas report to the stand manager and create positive interactions with customers, teammates, and vendors. They take orders, prepare drinks and premixes, collect payments, and keep the stand clean and stocked. The role requires staying productive and moving with urgency throughout each shift, including during slower periods, while following shift-change duties, checklists, sanitation regulations, and other organization standards.

Requirements

• Able to create and maintain genuine, uplifting interactions with strangers for up to five minutes at a time.
• Able to work carefully and quickly with hot water, coffee, glass bottles, and dairy products.
• Able to work outdoors for prolonged periods in varying weather conditions.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand comfortably for hours at a time.
• Able to climb a ladder and use a stepladder.
• Able to stand, sit, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to stock and clean.
• Able to walk safely between and around cars in the drive-through line.
• Able to use a utility knife safely.
• Able to work a flexible schedule and a minimum of three shifts per week.
• Follow company procedures for communicating time-off requests.
• Regularly work weekends and be available to work holidays if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Confirm customers’ drink orders and enter them accurately into the point-of-sale system.
• Collect payments and accurately count back change.
• Prepare drinks and premixes.
• Work with urgency and stay productive and proactive throughout the shift.
• Build personal connections with customers through genuine interactions and positive body language.
• Know the menu and help customers identify desired drinks by offering suggestions and recommendations when appropriate.
• Dress appropriately for the assigned position and be clocked in and ready at the start of the shift.
• Know and carry out shift-change duties, checklists, and weekly chores as needed.
• Treat teammates and customers with respect and kindness.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
• Clean and stock the stand.
