About The Position

Martis Valley Lodge, Tapestry Collection by Hilton Truckee-Tahoe is hiring a service-oriented Breakfast Server for Trailhead Social. The role involves serving guests during breakfast and supporting dining-room operations. The server is expected to provide excellent service, work effectively with guests and team members, and maintain clean, properly set stations. Morning, weekend, and holiday availability is required during Tahoe peak season.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a hotel or restaurant serving role.
• Ability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays during Tahoe peak season.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.
• Team player.
• Ability to multitask.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exceed the expectations of guests and team members.
• Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers and calculators.
• Basic mathematical skills for making change and issuing refunds.

Nice To Haves

• Post-high-school education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seat guests and take accurate food orders.
• Monitor food distribution to ensure meals reach the correct guests and are properly prepared and presented, or that the buffet is appealing.
• Check the station before, during, and after the shift for proper setup and cleanliness.
• Follow state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations when serving alcoholic beverages, including rules concerning minors and intoxicated guests.
• Learn menu items, preparation, and service procedures.
• Total checks, present them to guests, and accept payment.
• Assist with bussing tables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
