About The Position

The Laundry Attendant processes soiled linen and distributes clean linen according to standard operating procedures, working safely and as assigned by management. The role involves sorting and weighing linen, operating industrial laundry equipment, checking finished items for quality, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. The attendant also supports guest satisfaction by responding to requests and concerns and helps keep laundry operations running efficiently by reporting equipment issues, supply needs, damaged linens, and hazards.

Requirements

Some high school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to recognize and work with numbers.
Ability to operate industrial laundry equipment.
Ability to communicate information, respond to questions, and provide directions and hotel services to guests, vendors, staff members, and management.

Responsibilities

Receive, sort, and weigh soiled linen and place it into appropriate containers.
Process sorted linen using washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders; inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Turn in articles found in the Laundry Chute or department to the Supervisor for Lost and Found logging.
Fulfill guest requests and handle guest problems or complaints to achieve guest satisfaction.
Report malfunctioning or damaged equipment and mechanical problems to the Supervisor.
Notify the Supervisor of needed supplies, damaged linens, or department hazards.
Maintain the assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
