About The Position

Kana Hotel Group is seeking a Breakfast Host to support its hotel operations and deliver a high-quality guest experience. The role includes preparing and maintaining an attractive, clean, organized breakfast bar; keeping food and supplies stocked; and cleaning dining and surrounding areas. The Breakfast Host is expected to provide excellent guest service, follow company and brand standards for clothing, and perform other duties as assigned. One year of restaurant hostess experience is required.

Requirements

One year of hostess experience in a restaurant is required.
Customer service experience.
Knowledge of health department standards for food sanitation and safety practices.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain the breakfast bar with an attractive, abundant, organized, clean, and standardized presentation.
Take inventory of food, beverages, and supplies needed each day.
Order or purchase food supplies.
Prepare foods and beverages such as fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
Set up serving dishes, trays, utensils, cups, and other products.
Arrange cold food such as sweet rolls, muffins, and cereal.
Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
Wipe up spills and remove trash.
Restock self-service food and supplies as needed.
Wash serving equipment and return it to storage.
Return reusable food supplies to storage.
Vacuum and sweep carpets and floors, and mop floors.
Dust, brush, polish, and vacuum furniture.
Dust and clean room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces using cleaners designated by the immediate supervisor.
Inspect areas for safety hazards and check operating conditions of equipment.
Report lost-and-found articles and common-area maintenance problems to the immediate supervisor and maintenance.
Provide excellent guest service.
Wear clothing that complies with company policy and brand standards, including non-slip shoes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
