About The Position

The Breakfast Cook works on a variety of stations in a high-volume kitchen environment and creates an exceptional culinary experience for guests through food preparation, cooking, and presentation. The cook takes a leadership role when the Executive Chef is absent, follows sanitation regulations and requirements, and handles and prepares food items and equipment correctly. The role provides hospitality service to hotel guests and produces food for guests or staff according to recipes and quality, presentation, and preparation standards.

Requirements

High school graduate or culinary diploma required.
One to five years of previous experience.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining speed and quality.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Provide the highest and most efficient level of hospitality service to hotel guests.
Work at the designated station as set by the Executive Chef.
Operate kitchen equipment, including braising pans, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
Produce quality food in a timely and efficient manner for guests or staff.
Cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
Apply general knowledge of cooking temperatures, soups and sauces, entrees, and vegetable preparation.
Replenish service lines as needed and restock and prepare the workstation for the next shift.
Wash and disinfect the kitchen area, workstations, tables, tools, knives, and other equipment.
Take a leadership role during the absence of the Executive Chef.
Follow sanitation regulations and requirements and correctly handle and prepare food items and equipment.
