DMC Breakfast Attendant
About The Position
The Breakfast Attendant at Durango Mountain Club (DMC), a private club for homeowners and certain guests at Purgatory Resort in Durango, Colorado, helps provide members and guests with a welcoming, elevated start to their day. The role requires punctuality, attention to detail, organization, and a hospitality-focused mindset. The attendant arrives at 7:00 AM to prepare and present the continental breakfast before service opens at 8:00 AM, then keeps items stocked, clean, fresh, and attractively displayed while maintaining sanitation and presentation standards. After breakfast, the attendant stores food according to health code standards, cleans and resets the space, and prepares the dining area for lunch service. Success is measured by reliability, cleanliness, presentation, teamwork, and positive member and guest feedback. This is a seasonal position anticipated to run from November 21, 2026, through March 28, 2027; dates may change based on applicant availability and business needs. The stated winter schedule is 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, a minimum of five days per week. Applicants with service-industry experience are preferred, but training may be available for the right candidate.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a service-industry environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Availability to work mornings on weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a service-industry environment is preferred; the employer is open to training the right person.
Responsibilities
- Arrive punctually for the scheduled shift.
- Set up continental breakfast items and monitor their quality and presentation.
- Ensure the restaurant adheres to health and sanitation standards.
- Assist other staff when needed.
- Store food carefully according to health code standards.
- Clean and leave the area ready for lunch service.
