DMC Breakfast Attendant
About The Position
The Breakfast Attendant supports breakfast service for members and guests of the Durango Mountain Club, a private club at Purgatory Resort in Durango, Colorado. The role focuses on providing a welcoming, elevated start to the day through reliable service, careful preparation, and attractive presentation of the continental breakfast. The attendant arrives at 7:00 AM to prepare breakfast before service opens at 8:00 AM. During service, they keep items stocked, fresh, clean, and attractively displayed while maintaining sanitation standards. After breakfast, they store food according to health code standards, clean and reset the space, and prepare the dining area for lunch service. The position is seasonal, anticipated to run from November 21, 2026, through March 28, 2027; dates may change based on applicant availability and business needs. The anticipated schedule is 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, at least five days per week.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a service industry environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Availability to work mornings on weekends and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a similar role is preferred, though training may be provided to the right applicant.
Responsibilities
- Arrive punctually for the scheduled shift.
- Set up continental breakfast items and monitor their quality and presentation.
- Keep breakfast items stocked, clean, fresh, and attractively displayed.
- Ensure the restaurant adheres to health and sanitation standards.
- Assist other staff when needed.
- Store food carefully according to health code standards.
- Clean the area and leave it ready for lunch service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
