About The Position

Provide prompt, hospitable service to guests in a counter-service restaurant setting. Assist with food preparation and maintaining outlet cleanliness to deliver a lasting guest experience. Perform duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation, and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Food Handlers Card and Smart Serve alcohol certification; the employer will supply these if not applicable.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, including discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Ability to solve practical problems involving concrete variables with limited standardization and interpret written, oral, diagrammed, or scheduled instructions.
Ability to work well with a team, prioritize, act with urgency, and show concern for guest satisfaction.
Regularly walk, stand, and perform computer work; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds; seldom or never sit.

Responsibilities

Operate a computerized cash register accurately and efficiently.
Maintain a neat and clean environment throughout work and guest areas.
Prepare and portion food orders before and during service.
Follow proper sanitation practices for kitchen facilities and equipment, and handle and prepare food in accordance with local and state health codes.
Use all kitchen equipment safely.
Perform other duties as assigned.
