About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant at Hampton Inn Albany Western Ave SUNY Area helps create a welcoming, professional atmosphere and provides personalized service to hotel guests. The role supports the complimentary breakfast by preparing, setting up, and serving food; replenishing food and supplies; and maintaining clean dining and service areas. The attendant also responds to guest inquiries and requests, communicates with managers and team members, and performs other duties as requested by a supervisor. The position requires an early start at 4:30 a.m. and the ability to stand for extended periods.

Requirements

Must be able to come in at 4:30 a.m.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.
Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented attitude.
Ability to stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Additional education or certification in hospitality or a related field.
Previous experience in customer service or a food service role; experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide personalized service to all guests.
Prepare breakfast foods, including eggs, bacon, and sausage.
Stock coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers.
Set out and arrange cold foods such as sweet rolls, muffins, donuts, and cereal.
Clear and clean tables as guests leave.
Wipe up spills and maintain the cleanliness of appliances and counter space throughout the morning.
Remove trash.
Restock self-service food and supplies as needed.
Wash serving equipment and return it to storage.
Perform duties related to preparation, setup, and service of the complimentary breakfast.
Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Comply with hotel policies and procedures.
Maintain professional working relationships and promote open communication with managers, team members, and other departments.
