About The Position

Anthropic is hiring a Brand Insights, Measurement Lead to strengthen the evidence behind brand and marketing decisions. The role turns market, campaign, and user data into actionable decisions for product, marketing, communications, and sales leadership, assessing how awareness progresses to consideration and pipeline and identifying where that progression breaks down for different audiences. The lead owns recurring measurement readouts, including Prosumer and B2B brand health tracker studies and the metrics, headwinds, and tailwinds shared with business leadership and in all-hands updates. The role partners with Marketing Insights, Communications, data science, Brand & Integrated Marketing leadership, research vendors, and stakeholders across enterprise marketing, product marketing, and finance. It also supports the development of a consistent brand-health dashboard and the evaluation of campaign effectiveness and marketing investment. The successful candidate combines customer understanding, marketing measurement discipline, analytical skills, and organizational influence. They will integrate first-party behavioral data, campaign and media data, and survey or attitudinal research into a defensible view, communicate findings and caveats clearly to non-technical audiences, and translate results into recommendations. Anthropic expects staff to work from one of its offices at least 25% of the time under its current location-based hybrid policy. Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems that are safe and beneficial for users and society. The company is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco.

Requirements

  • Strategic orientation and curiosity about customer and user perceptions, with the ability to use insights to influence business and marketing direction.
  • Fluency in SQL and Python or R, with the ability to conduct exploratory analysis and more rigorous statistical modeling.
  • Experience designing or analyzing experiments such as A/B tests, holdouts, or lift tests to establish causal effects, and applying regression, segmentation, or other causal-inference methods to real business questions.
  • Experience measuring campaigns end to end, from pre- and post-campaign analysis through synthesis of learnings into changes acted on in future campaigns.
  • Experience building and maintaining recurring metrics reports or dashboards trusted by executives or cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to communicate caveated findings as clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders and identify which caveats matter to the headline.
  • Ability to begin analysis by defining the business question and decision it needs to serve.
  • Ability to reconcile data without a universal taxonomy across first-party, third-party, real-time, and survey sources.
  • Ability to balance timeliness and rigor, recognizing when a directionally correct answer is more useful than a late, more rigorous answer.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and build credibility with technical partners and non-technical leadership.
  • Interest in Anthropic’s mission to develop AI that is safe and beneficial.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • A field of study relevant to the role, as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
  • Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, or incrementality and lift testing specifically.
  • Experience advising marketing stakeholders on experimental design for live campaigns, such as email or paid social, or measuring marketing performance across multiple markets.
  • Familiarity with survey-based quantitative research, including MaxDiff, conjoint, brand tracking, and sentiment tracking, alongside behavioral and usage data.
  • Experience with a modern data warehouse such as Snowflake or BigQuery and a BI tool such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI.
  • Prior experience specifically in marketing, growth, or brand analytics rather than general or product data science.
  • A graduate degree in statistics, economics, or another quantitative field.
  • A career trajectory spanning BI and dashboarding, applied causal inference and experimental design, and multi-market marketing measurement.

Responsibilities

  • Own recurring executive and all-hands readouts of key metrics, headwinds, and tailwinds for marketing management and the broader team.
  • Lead process ownership of Prosumer and B2B brand health tracker studies, including managing research vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate Communications, Marketing, and data science teams on the brand-health dashboard and align them on a consistent view of the data.
  • Support media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, and incrementality analyses to inform marketing budget and effort allocation and assess causal drivers of outcomes.
  • Conduct best-practice pre- and post-campaign analyses of creative, channel, audience, and timing effects, and translate findings into specific changes for future campaigns.
  • Synthesize campaign-level learnings into recurring leadership reporting on channel, creative, and audience performance and recommended adjustments.
  • Build audience and funnel analyses that quantify movement from awareness through consideration to conversion and inform investment decisions.
  • Audit customer sentiment reporting across the business and design a more efficient, consistent process.
  • Manage underlying data pipelines so recurring readouts remain reliable and do not need to be rebuilt each cycle.
  • Partner with Marketing Insights teammates to align measurement processes and research design, including contributing to the Marketing Business Review scorecard process.
  • Develop a defensible view using first-party behavioral data, campaign and media data, and survey or attitudinal research, while clarifying the limitations of each source.
  • Present findings to non-technical audiences, including marketing leadership, enterprise sales, and finance partners, translating qualified results into clear recommendations.
