About The Position

Carrier Enterprise is seeking a part-time Branch Sales Associate at its Nashville, Tennessee location. The associate is the face of the branch, serving HVAC/R professionals and contractors with customer service, product knowledge, and sales support. The role includes assisting customers with product selection and technical questions, processing orders, supporting sales initiatives, and helping maintain inventory and warehouse operations. Part-time employees are eligible for limited company-sponsored benefits, including participation in the 401(k) plan after meeting applicable eligibility requirements, and may have a pathway to full-time employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous customer-facing experience, preferably in the HVAC/R industry or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R products, equipment, and components.
• Excellent customer service, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computerized sales and inventory management systems.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and reach to access products and supplies.

Nice To Haves

• Prior forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide product advice, information, and recommendations.
• Process customer orders accurately, including checking availability, pricing, and invoicing.
• Maintain knowledge of HVAC/R product inventory, specifications, compatibility, and pricing.
• Monitor and replenish floor stock, conduct inventory counts, and report discrepancies to the Branch Manager.
• Help customers troubleshoot technical issues related to HVAC/R equipment and components.
• Promote sales initiatives and special offers, and identify appropriate opportunities to upsell.
• Support warehouse operations by receiving, inspecting, and stocking merchandise.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and product organization.
• Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain safety standards and a clean, organized counter and warehouse environment.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
