About The Position

As a Branch Sales Associate, you will provide solutions and connect with walk-in customers using guidance, knowledge, and a winning attitude. You will maximize sales opportunities, create customer loyalty, and exceed customer expectations. The role also involves shifting focus throughout the day from assisting customers to performing warehouse tasks. You will report to the Branch Manager.

This is a part-time position scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The work location is 5576 Irving St, Boise, ID 83706.

Requirements

• Be flexible to work at any time within the branch's hours of operation.
• Safely lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and heavier loads with assistance.
• Learn and operate powered industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customer experience, including selecting appropriate products, accurately entering orders, safely picking products, and safely loading customer vehicles.
• Identify ways to maximize sales opportunities and encourage customer loyalty.
• Adapt communication style to different audiences in email, by phone, and in person.
• Pick, prepare, and stage will-call orders and shipping products.
• Prepare customer backorders and put away received stock.
• Assist with merchandising and showroom replenishment.
• Perform inventory counts.
• Learn and navigate computer systems used for customer-facing and warehouse activities.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to ensure the branch meets Grainger appearance standards.
• Follow safety guidelines and process standards, including wearing personal protective equipment.
