About The Position

As Branch Manager in United Rentals’ Power/HVAC Division, you will lead a major business enterprise and build a profitable branch. You will hire and motivate a team across roles such as sales, service, maintenance, and driving, and ensure customers receive enthusiastic, informed service. The role includes managing branch operations, sales initiatives, personnel, safety, and financial performance.

Requirements

At least 5 years of successful business management experience with profit and loss responsibility at a branch or other individual profit center.
Understanding of business accounting principles and budget preparation.
Strong sales and customer service experience.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic, and other systems.
Effective leadership, motivational, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Outside sales experience preferred.
Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, customer service, and profitability.
Oversee sales efforts and business initiatives.
Prepare reports, including profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, yearly budgets, and other reports detailing operational status.
Manage personnel matters.
Oversee safety matters, including audits, safety training, OSHA compliance, DOT regulations, and drug and alcohol testing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
