About The Position
Rheem Midwest Distribution (RMD) - Air Management Supply is seeking a Branch Manager to lead operations, customer service, and team development at its distribution branch in St. Louis, Missouri. The role combines operational excellence, customer service, and people leadership to drive growth and profitability while fostering a positive workplace culture. The Branch Manager oversees branch operations, including customer transactions, warehouse management, inventory, delivery, and financial transactions; maintains performance standards and key metrics; contributes to annual budgeting and manages monthly profit and loss performance; and identifies process improvements. The role collaborates with leadership, sales, and cross-functional teams to support customers and the business, while maintaining a safe, compliant workplace and delivering high-quality customer service. The manager sets employee expectations, provides coaching and feedback, supports training and professional growth, handles performance concerns, and participates in workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding. Rheem expects leaders to demonstrate competencies such as business knowledge, communication, relationship-building, talent development, customer orientation, change leadership, influencing, and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment, with a focus on customer service.
- Experience managing and developing a team.
- Knowledge of business principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, and team leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience working with operational systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and implement actionable insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with the HVAC distribution industry, including HVAC products and services.
- Experience with material handling equipment (MHE) and delivery vehicles.
