About The Position

The Branch Manager II performs professional, managerial-level work supervising branch operations, serves as a member of the library’s management team, and advocates for library services. The position also works as a professional librarian to provide direct public service. The role is located at Discoveries Library and is full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

Applicants must hold a master’s degree in Library Science from an American Library Association-accredited program and have six years of professional experience providing public library services, including four years of supervisory experience. The appointee must be able to secure certification as an advanced Professional Librarian in Maryland within 120 days of appointment and meet recertification requirements by completing 90 hours of training every five years.

Requirements
