About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Outfitter helps improve the customer shopping experience by fulfilling orders using inventory across retail locations. The role requires familiarity with products and includes receiving and inspecting merchandise; sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores; and handling merchandise to maintain its quality and presentation. The employee may work across multiple back-room functions as needed and may assist customers on the sales floor during store hours. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Able to operate receiving equipment.
• Able to stand and/or walk constantly during a shift and repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
• Able to occasionally climb or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; communicate to exchange information; operate machinery and/or power tools; work in confined spaces, low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments.
• Able to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise in the retail store back room.
• Fill retail and direct-customer orders by inspecting merchandise and matching it to orders.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack it using appropriate containers, cartons, and packaging.
• Apply designated labels and visually inspect products for quality and presentation.
• Pull merchandise from designated stock locations and place it in proper containers.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow procedures for a safe work environment.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
• Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short-pick issues, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
• Follow order processing through to properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
