About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) process uses inventory across retail locations to help customers find products wherever they shop. The BOSS Fulfillment Outfitter fills orders and handles merchandise for shipment to direct customers and retail stores, while protecting the quality and presentation of products. The role performs a range of back-room functions, including receiving and inspecting merchandise, picking and sorting orders, packing shipments, and loading or unloading merchandise. Employees may spend most of their time in one area but should be able to perform functions across multiple areas as needed. When working on the sales floor during store hours, the role also assists customers with finding merchandise and making purchasing decisions. The position operates under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommendations for improving work procedures, policies, and practices. Requirements

High school diploma.
0–2 years of experience.
Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, and customers.
Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Able to operate receiving equipment.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift and constantly repeat motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Ability to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; communicate with others; operate machinery and/or power tools; work in tight or confined spaces; work in low or high temperatures, outdoor elements, and noisy environments.
Light work involving constantly moving and lifting objects up to 20 pounds and occasionally moving and lifting objects up to 100 pounds or more, using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

Receive and inspect merchandise, fill orders, and sort and pack merchandise in appropriate packaging for shipment.
Sort merchandise into order groupings and pack it using suitable containers, cartons, or other packaging.
Apply designated labels and visually inspect products for quality and presentation.
Fill retail and direct-customer orders by inspecting merchandise and matching it to the order.
Pull merchandise from designated stock locations and place it in appropriate containers.
Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow procedures for a safe work environment.
Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
Assist customers with finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
Follow orders through processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
Perform other duties as assigned.
