About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Outfitter supports the customer shopping experience by using inventory across retail locations to fulfill orders. The role processes orders for shipment to direct customers and retail stores, handling merchandise carefully to maintain its quality and appearance. Work may include receiving and inspecting merchandise, picking and sorting orders, packing shipments, and loading or unloading merchandise. The position may focus on one back-room area for much of the time, while requiring the knowledge and experience to move among multiple functions as needed. The role may also include assisting customers on the sales floor during store hours.

The position performs duties under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and resolve problems. It may make recommendations concerning work procedures, policies, and practices. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Able to operate receiving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise, fill orders, and sort and pack merchandise into appropriate packaging for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and package it using proper containers, cartons, or other packaging; apply designated labels and inspect product quality and presentation.
• Fill retail and direct-customer orders by matching merchandise to orders and pulling items from designated stock locations.
• Move merchandise among warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow procedures for a safe work environment.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new-employee orientation, safety training, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions while working on the sales floor during store hours.
• Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
• Follow order processing through to properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
