About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Outfitter helps improve the customer shopping experience by using inventory across retail locations to fulfill orders. The role requires familiarity with products sold and involves receiving, inspecting, sorting, picking, packing, and loading merchandise for shipment to customers and retail stores. Merchandise must be handled to preserve its quality and appearance.

The position performs a range of back-room functions and may focus on one area while remaining able to move among functions as needed. It may also involve assisting customers on the sales floor during store hours. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Able to operate receiving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise, fill orders, and sort and pack merchandise in appropriately sized packaging for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and package it in suitable containers or cartons; apply designated labels and inspect products for quality and presentation.
• Fill retail and direct customer orders by inspecting merchandise, matching it to the order, and retrieving it from designated stock locations.
• Move merchandise between warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow procedures for a safe work environment.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety training, and job skills training.
• Assist customers in finding merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
• Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
• Follow orders through processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
