About The Position

The BOSS (Buy Online Ship from Store) Fulfillment Associate supports customers’ shopping experience by using inventory across retail locations to fulfill orders. The role involves processing BOSS orders and handling merchandise—including receiving, inspecting, sorting, picking, packing, and loading items for shipment to direct customers and retail stores. Merchandise must be handled to preserve its quality and appearance.

The position works across multiple back-room fulfillment functions as needed and may also assist customers on the sales floor during store hours. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 0–2 years of experience.
• Ability to follow through on order processing, including properly closing orders in the BOSS system.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to read label descriptions and stock merchandise by UPC codes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to operate receiving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect merchandise, fill orders, sort items, and pack merchandise in appropriately sized containers or cartons for shipment.
• Sort merchandise into order groupings and apply designated shipping labels.
• Visually inspect products for quality and presentation.
• Fill retail and direct-customer orders by matching merchandise to order details and pulling items from designated stock locations.
• Move merchandise between warehouse locations using authorized material-handling equipment or manually load and unload trailers.
• Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness and follow procedures for a safe work environment.
• Attend mandatory training and in-services, including new employee orientation, safety, and job-skills training.
• Assist customers with locating merchandise and making buying decisions when working on the sales floor during store hours.
• Communicate issues or needs affecting job execution, including short picks, out-of-stocks, on-hand counts, and supplies.
• Process orders through to proper closure in the BOSS system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
